THE GOOD, THE BAD OR THE USEFULL??

Computer systems generate and store massive and growing amounts of data up to a point that making sense of it all is not possible. This causes people to rely more on visual toolsets.

The idea of information visualization is to "allow people to offload cognition to the perceptual system, using carefully designed images as a form of external memory..."

Although the concept of information visualization is to help and assist with conceptualising, by using the correct spatial positions, color, size, shape, orientation and direction of motion. The question that I state is, to what extent could the science of visualization be used to mislead people. People rely on media in general and marketers use this advantage to "tap" into peoples emotions and "subconcious reasoning". When this same idea is applied to visualization of datasets, by using the guidelines as ways to impact the perception of a dataset and what it truly represents. How would you standardize this to prevent data manipulation  with help of visualization tools?

         Not a standard projection of data cube but very useful
